About This Event
Written and performed by 20-time award-winning fringe artist Ingrid Garner, this electrifying multimedia performance resurrects Vampira, television’s first horror host, and explores the fascinating life of her creator, Maila Nurmi. The 60-minute show blends Hollywood history, camp, counterculture, and a celebration of individuality, followed by a screening of the original 1960 B-movie Little Shop of Horrors. Recommended for ages 18+; content warnings include burlesque, sexual content, death, eating disorders, swearing, flashing lights, and loud sounds.
