Discover the remarkable life and military legacy of Major General Maurice Rose, a Denver-raised son of a rabbi who commanded the famed 3rd Armored Division during World War II. Guest Paul Shamon of the Rose Monument Foundation presents rare artifacts and never-before-seen photographs from the General Maurice Rose collection. The one-hour program at the History Colorado Center explores Rose’s extraordinary service and his tragic 1945 death as the highest-ranking American officer killed by enemy fire.
