Cooling Centers open July 13

Beginning July 13, 2026 Denver Parks and Recreation is opening all currently operating recreation centers to the public as cooling centers during regular business hours. Attendees can access air-conditioned indoor space at participating recreation centers to escape extreme heat; hours follow each center's normal schedule. This is a free, family-friendly public service provided across multiple Denver recreation center locations—check the Denvergov link for a list of specific centers and hours.
