Body Language: Stories in Form is a juried national figurative exhibition at 931 Gallery that explores the human body as a site of memory, tension, vulnerability, and presence. The show highlights contemporary figurative work that pushes beyond traditional academic approaches, inviting viewers to consider posture, gesture, connection, and identity in new ways. Jurors Lynn Hurley and Cristina Bowes bring together artists whose work treats the figure as both emotional terrain and contemporary inquiry. The exhibition runs April 17 through May 10, 2026, with an opening reception on April 17 from 5–9 pm.
