Sloppy Joe Naturalist Hike

Join naturalists Juliet Malik and Ren Redlich for a ~3-mile plant and wildlife identification hike along Sloppy Joe and adjacent trails, exploring riparian and oak woodland habitats. Expect close looks at native woody plants, wildflowers, birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and insects; leaders will demonstrate how to make iNaturalist observations for the upcoming Shasta County City Nature Challenge. Trails can be steep, rocky and muddy after rain, so bring sturdy footwear, water, sun/rain protection, binoculars and a snack. RSVP via the required online form and complete the waiver; only those who submit the form will receive updates.
