
CinemaQ is Denver’s only LGBTQ+ film festival. It celebrates the community’s vibrant and diverse stories through a curated selection of movies, panels, discussions, and iconic events. The festival showcases queer cinema, creates space for dialogue, and highlights a wide range of LGBTQ+ experiences. The 2025 edition is described as one of the best years yet, and the festival will return May 29–31, 2026. The event typically includes: - Screenings of feature films, shorts, and documentaries - Themed tracks such as Black Lives Queerly (BLQ), in partnership with Black Pride Colorado, to explore Black queer experiences and ensure that all community members have the opportunity to see themselves represented - Panels and discussions with filmmakers, community leaders, and guests - Social and “iconic” festival events and receptions Support & participation options: - Festival passes available via Eventive - Sponsorship opportunities coordinated through Denver Film - Volunteer opportunities via Denver Film’s volunteer registration system - Friends of CinemaQ donor/supporter group, offering perks for those who support the festival directly. The festival is presented by partners including WILL LABAHN, Next50 Foundation, and the Colorado Office of Film, Television & Media. It is produced by Denver Film and typically held at or in association with the Sie FilmCenter in Denver.
