Wynkoop Brewing Company is the first brew pub in historic downtown Denver since Prohibition. Located in a historic building in LoDo, Wynkoop offers freshly brewed on-site beer and hearty pub fare, live comedy in the basement, and a BCA-sanctioned billiards parlor upstairs. It is a long-standing local favorite; former Governor John Hickenlooper brewed and served the first pint here in 1988. As a brewpub and bar, the venue features TVs for watching sports, including football games, and hosts live comedy in the basement. The upstairs billiards parlor is BCA-sanctioned and provides a pool hall environment for groups and casual visitors alike.
