STARGAZE Volunteering

About This Event

Civic Center Conservancy is recruiting volunteers to help with the STARGAZE event series at Civic Center Park. Volunteers help greet and check-in guests, assist astronomers, and answer general information about Civic Center Park and the Conservancy. A brief training session is provided before the event starts, and volunteers may also participate in the stargazing. STARGAZE takes place in the park and volunteers will be outside for the duration of the event. Requirements: - Must be at least 18 years old. - Must be comfortable standing for extended periods of time. - May require some moving of event elements, such as chairs, folding tables, etc. - A positive attitude and an interest in talking to visitors is a huge plus. - Weather appropriate attire is required, as the event is fully outdoors.
