WE ARE IN DOWNTOWN LOVELAND WITH THIS CLASSIC RUN/WALK Sweetheart City Racing is excited to hold this year’s event once again. With a race start and awards in Downtown Loveland, it will be right in the center of the action of the Loveland Sweetheart Festival. You will love our beautiful course along the rec path as you leave Downtown Loveland! The race will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. Racers will need to arrive early to ensure smooth parking (as it is limited) and an on-time start. Join us on February 14th, 2026 for a day full of fun, love, and fitness as we work to raise money for local High School and Middle School Cross Country teams. Please check out our Race First Stop! It will have frequently asked questions and answers. This is a 5K new course for 2026! (This is due to construction happening downtown) 2026 Shirt Design! Race First Stop (FAQ): 1. Is parking available? Yes. There is a free parking garage, downtown parking spots, and lots near the start/finish line. Start/finish line is near Cleveland and 4th. 2. Am I guaranteed a shirt? To be guaranteed a shirt you must register by Jan 30th. Extras are ordered but early registration is recommended to guarantee a shirt. Other swag is available if shirts run out. 3. Is there race day registration? Yes. ALL registration is online. If you want to pay with cash or check please see one of the volunteers to assist you. Price goes up on race day. See pricing on the registration link. 4. Will you cancel the race if it’s cold, snowing, windy or rainy? No. The event will be held rain or shine. You can pick up LIVE and VIRTUAL packets here. Participants are encouraged to pick up packets on Friday night and not on race day. 6. If you have not picked up your packet at any available times listed above, virtual packets will be taken to a sponsor’s place of business and you will be contacted through email. If you would like it mailed, please choose the add-on “P&H for Virtual packets” when you register. Those needing to be mailed will be mailed the following week. Dog Info: We have had a few mishaps with the races from last year so we want to make sure everyone knows the rules. We LOVE seeing all the fur family members out on course and at our events. If everyone can follow these rules we can continue to allow them. 1. Dogs must remain leashed AT ALL TIMES. If anyone is caught with their dogs off-leash, you will be disqualified from the race and they won't be allowed at any other event. 2. They must be friendly. We had a young kid get nipped at and you can see the problems this creates. They must be friendly and well-behaved. 3. Be aware of all people around you. We don't want people getting tripped by leashes or knocked over by dogs. 4. Leashes should be 6ft or shorter. In the starting chutes, please start at the back of the pack and have them very short-leashed/right next to you. Folks need to hear the pre-race briefing, so please try to keep them from barking during that time. Sponsors and partners mentioned include: Redemption Church, Loveland Aleworks (Event Host), Poudre Pet & Feed Supply, Scheels, Upslope Physical Therapy, Black Flag Outfitters, Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, Destination Loveland, Copper Heights, Cornerstone Baptist Church of Loveland, HOTWORX, Thompson School District, Colorado Coffee Company, Celsius, Fort Collins Running Club, Colorado Candy Company, Altitude Running, and others. A Scheels shopping link is provided where 5% of purchases go to a scholarship fund for a local senior.
