Does your child have what it takes to be Loveland’s Little Miss Valentine or Little Mr. Cupid? Enter your little one into the annual Little Miss Valentine and Little Mr. Cupid Contest at the Loveland Sweetheart Festival. Dress your Little Miss Valentine in all things LOVE or your Little Mr. Cupid like the winged god of love and have fun competing for the title and spreading LOVE all over LOVELAND! Produced by Visit Loveland and presented by the Hummel Investment Center Advisor Group, this event is free to watch for spectators. Event details: - Venue: Rialto Theater Center in downtown Loveland - Date: February 14, 2026 - Time: 11:00 (participants must check in by 10:30) - Address: 228 E 4th Street, Loveland, CO - Registration: Required in advance via Eventbrite; $10 plus fees per child competitor; onsite registration is not allowed - Registration opens: January 26, 2026 at 12:00 PM - Registration deadline: No later than Wednesday, February 11 (2026) - Capacity: Only 25 children per category (Girls 0–2, Girls 3–4, Boys 0–2, Boys 3–4) How it works: Children must be registered in advance through Eventbrite for $10 (plus fees) to compete. All children competing must be registered by the deadline; there is no onsite registration. There are four contest categories: Girls age 0–2, Girls age 3–4, Boys age 0–2, and Boys age 3–4. Contestants will be walked across the stage alone or, if unable to walk, by their parent or legal guardian. Judges will vote for the top winners in each category. One winner from each category will be selected based on two criteria: Costume and Personality. - Costume will be evaluated for creativity, originality, and overall cuteness. - Personality is based on how the child presents themself to the audience and judges. Participants MUST check in at the Rialto Theater no later than 10:30 AM on February 14 or they will not be allowed to participate. No refunds will be given to participants who fail to arrive on time. Prizes: Each of the grand prize winners will receive: - $250 gift card - Loveland Laser Tag gift card - $25 Urban Field gift card - $15 Vatos Tacos gift card - Red Robin gift bag - Official Little Miss Valentine or Little Mr. Cupid sash - Crown (girls) or Bow & Arrow pin (boys) All entrants will receive: - Official Little Miss Valentine and Little Mr. Cupid certificate - Loveland Laser Tag free laser tag gift card - Access to professional photography taken at the theater (photography will be taken from the stage, not portrait-style, and it cannot be guaranteed that every child will appear in photos). Grand Prize winners will be announced at the end of the contest, and winning children MUST BE PRESENT in the Rialto Auditorium at the time of announcement to win. If a child is no longer in the auditorium at the time of announcement, the second-place winner for that category will be announced and awarded the grand prize. Who can watch: The event is open to anyone to watch (up to facility capacity). It is free to attend with open seating and no tickets needed for spectators.
