The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is a treasured landmark of the city and boasts more than 700,000 sq. ft. of award‑winning wildlife dioramas, gems and minerals, mummies, and famous dinosaurs. The four‑story West/Leprino Family Atrium features some of the best views in Denver, including from the Sky Terrace, with over 350 miles of the Rocky Mountain Front Range visible on clear days. Visitors can explore rotating traveling exhibits, permanent halls such as Wildlife Dioramas, Coors Gems & Minerals, Space Odyssey, and Prehistoric Journey, and enjoy shows in the Gates Planetarium and the Infinity Theater (IMAX‑style large‑format). The museum regularly hosts activities for leisure and business groups, including animal tracking at state parks, science experiments with museum scientists, fossil digs, and other educational programs. Food and drink are available on‑site via the museum’s restaurant, and select theater experiences may allow concessions like popcorn, candy, and drinks. The venue also offers extensive event and meeting facilities with more than 250,000 square feet of rentable space, including unique areas such as the Northeast Atrium, Southeast Atrium, Schlessman Lobby, Spratlen Lounge, Harry T Lewis Room, Anschutz Sky Terrace, Ricketson Auditorium, Gates Planetarium, Leprino Family Atrium, Morgridge Family Exploration Center, Boettcher Plaza, 3rd Floor Community Room, Infinity Theater, and full museum buyout options. The museum follows numerous green practices (Energy Star rated, ISO14001 certified, LEED NC Platinum, solar panels, and membership in the U.S. Green Building Council).
