CinemaQ Film Festival

About This Event

CinemaQ is Denver’s only LGBTQ+ film festival, celebrating the community’s vibrant and diverse stories through a curated selection of films, panels, discussions, and iconic events. The festival showcases queer cinema from around the world and locally, and provides space for dialogue, connection, and celebration of LGBTQ+ lives and experiences. Programming typically includes feature films, shorts blocks, special presentations, community conversations, and social events throughout the festival dates. The 2026 edition of CinemaQ is returning May 29th–31st, 2026. Festival passes are available through Denver Film’s Eventive ticketing platform. Previous years’ programs (including 2025) feature a wide range of genres and topics, highlighting intersectional stories across the LGBTQ+ spectrum. A special program track, Black Lives Queerly (BLQ), is offered in partnership with Black Pride Colorado to explore Black queer stories and ensure that Black members of the LGBTQ+ community see themselves represented and have space to come together to celebrate, watch, and discuss films. Support opportunities include sponsorships, volunteering, and the Friends of CinemaQ giving program, which directly supports the festival and comes with special perks and recognition. Organizers invite prospective sponsors, volunteers, and supporters to reach out to dedicated contacts for more information. Note: Individual film titles, exact screening times, and detailed daily schedules are not listed on this page and are typically published closer to the festival dates on the Eventive schedule and in the digital program.
