The Denver Trolley operates on rails along the South Platte River Greenway, offering a 25‑minute narrated round‑trip ride between Confluence Park/REI and Lower Colfax Avenue. The route runs on the west bank of the South Platte River from the northern terminus at the Confluence Park/REI stop to the southern terminus just south of Lower Colfax Avenue. During the southbound run, the Trolley stops to pick up and drop off passengers at the Downtown Aquarium stop, the Children's Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus stop, and the Broncos Bridge stop across from Mile High Stadium, then continues to the southern terminus before returning northbound to Confluence Park/REI. The trolley runs during the summer season (generally Memorial Day weekend through mid‑August), Thursdays through Mondays, with departures every 30 minutes from the Confluence Park/REI stop. The first departure is at 10:00 and the last departure is at 17:00. Each ticket is valid for one round‑trip ride. Passengers may board at one stop, get off at another, and re‑board later during southbound runs, but must not miss the last 17:00 departure from Confluence Park/REI. Wheelchair users can be accommodated at the front of the trolley, either remaining in the wheelchair or transferring to a bench. Wheelchair users are asked to reserve the 10:00 ride on operating days so staff have time to set up and remove the ramp at the Children's Museum stop. A graduated staircase is available at the Confluence Park/REI station for passengers who need extra assistance with steps; advance email notice is requested if boarding at another station so staff can have the staircase on board. The trolley allows well‑behaved, leashed dogs and usually can accommodate folded strollers. Operations may be canceled for inclement weather, defined as significant rain or snow or temperatures below 50 degrees. The service is generally seasonal (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend); riders are encouraged to check the Denver Trolley website for specific seasonal dates and current schedule. Tickets can be purchased online via the Denver Trolley Schedule & Fares page, at the ticket tent at the Confluence Park/REI stop, at the ticket counter inside the Children's Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus (or the trolley tent outside), from trolley operators at any stop, at the Visit Denver Tourist Information Center (1575 California Street), at the Colorado Convention Center (700 14th Street), at the Tourist Information Desk at Union Station (1701 Wynkoop Street), and at the Denver International Airport Tourist Information Center (5th Floor). Filming for personal use (e.g., with a GoPro) is allowed; riders are invited to tag the trolley on social media and use #TrolleyLove. Group reservations of 10 or more are welcome (no group discounts); groups are asked to email in advance so staff can help coordinate a good experience.
