Each year Denver's Historic Five Points Neighborhood transforms into a hub of entertainment and celebration for the community in honor of Juneteenth, the day when the last of the nation’s enslaved people learned of their freedom. Southern Soul Plaza Party, Friday, June 19th, Five Points Plaza, 6 - 11pm - Kick off the Juneteenth weekend in style with the Juneteenth Plaza Southern Soul Party, an intimate ticketed event and fundraiser held at the historic Five Points Plaza. This evening celebration blends live performances, curated DJ sets, local food and drinks, line dancing and a vibrant gathering of community members committed to sustaining and growing Juneteenth programming. 15th Annual Street Festival, Saturday, June 20th, 2700 Welton Street, Noon to 8pm - An engaging, interactive session designed for makers, innovators, and Denver’s premier Juneteenth event, attracting 20,000+ attendees for a free street festival with, day-long celebration of freedom with live performances, vendors, food, and family-friendly activities. Join us in building meaningful relationships within a vibrant community. Juneteenth Hop, Sunday, June 21st, Multiple Venues along Welton St, 2pm - 12am - Finish the Juneteenth weekend in the heart of Denver’s Historic Five Points with the Juneteenth Hop, a one-of-a-kind bar and venue crawl celebrating culture, community, and live entertainment. Journey through a collection of local bars, breweries, and cultural spaces along Welton Street, each featuring curated live performances that showcase the rich traditions of jazz, soul, hip-hop, and beyond.
