First Friday Art Walk – Art District on Santa Fe

The First Friday Art Walks are the signature event of Denver's Art District on Santa Fe. All year round, rain or shine, the District comes alive on the first Friday of each month as thousands descend upon Santa Fe Drive for the First Friday Art Walks from 5:30-9:30 p.m. View art from hundreds of artists in galleries, studios, co-ops, upstairs, downstairs, in alleys, on the street—everywhere! The Art District spans from 13th Avenue to Alameda Avenue and Kalamath Street to Inca Street, with the bulk of galleries concentrated in a walkable area between 5th and 11th Avenues. Getting Here: Denver's Art District on Santa Fe is easily accessible by the Light Rail Station at 10th and Osage. There is free parking all throughout the District and side streets, but traffic is heavy during First Fridays, so ride shares and public transportation are encouraged. Parking during the First Friday Art Walk (5:30–9:30): - RPS (Adco General), 801 Kalamath St. - Alliance de Francaise, 6th and Galapago (visitors are encouraged to stop in and view exhibits) - West High School, 10th Avenue and Galapago St. – parking $5 - Su Teatro, Santa Fe Drive and 2nd Avenue Vending: Outdoor vendor markets are paused for the cold‑weather season and are scheduled to resume in May. Vendor signups will be available for May, June, July, August, and September First Fridays on a rolling basis the month prior to each event via the Art District and NEWSED links. Per the City of Denver, street vending is not permitted on sidewalks along Santa Fe Drive between 6th and 11th Avenues during First Fridays. Vendor spots in the NEWSED parking lot are available year‑round with separate registration requirements. Dogs: Dogs are allowed in ADSF galleries and studios on a case‑by‑case basis; attendees should check with each gallery owner before bringing pets inside.
