CinemaQ Film Festival

About This Event

CinemaQ is Denver’s only LGBTQ+ film festival, celebrating the community’s vibrant and diverse stories through a curated selection of movies, panels, discussions, and iconic events. The festival showcases queer cinema from around the world and locally, and includes special tracks such as Black Lives Queerly (BLQ), which explores Black queer experiences in partnership with Black Pride Colorado. Attendees can expect film screenings, community conversations, and opportunities to connect, celebrate, and see themselves represented on screen. The festival is presented by Denver Film and hosted at the Sie FilmCenter. The page also highlights ways to support the festival: becoming a sponsor, volunteering, and joining Friends of CinemaQ. Sponsors collaborate with Denver Film to support LGBTQ+ storytelling; volunteers assist with festival operations; and Friends of CinemaQ provide direct financial support and receive special perks. While detailed 2026 film-by-film programming is not yet published, passes are already available, and interested attendees can subscribe to be the first to know when the full 2026 program is announced.
